There are actually a great selection of canon characters in this category too, ones that were not included in DBXV2 by default. Things like "Gohan SSJ4", or "Absalon Goku" fall into this category. METHOD 3 - DBXV2 X2M INSTALLER - This method is specifically for "X2M" files, which are nothing more than additional custom character files. As long as your interior folder structure is correct (for example, modifying SSJ hair requires that you place those files within Data->chara->HUM folder structure), then you're smokin aces. Once you have the "Data" folder, it is as simple as placing the appropriate mods within that folder, simple drag-n-drop. But in short, it involves downloading "the Patcher", placing those patcher files within your DBXV2 game installation folder, then creating a "Data" folder. METHOD 2 - DBXV2 PATCHER - There is a great video on the main page of that explains how to do this method. I never use this method, as it simply is not required when there are superior and easier methods described below. METHOD 1 - UNPACK AND REPACK - Not recommended, as this is the most "convoluted" of all methods, and takes a bit of care and know-how. There's pretty much three clear cut ways of installation as far as Xenoverse 2 goes: Modding is well worth it if you're competent in how to do so. Having the download source of the mod be the Nexus wouldn't change anything on your end. They work when they want to, to put it in simple terms. I will probably continue to work on these things because Xenoverse is a ton of fun, but I honestly just don't see much in these programs.
And after watching a ton of tutorials that told me to do what I've already been doing, I've come to the conclusion that most of this stuff is either outdated, updated and not fixed, or never worked from the get go. Like trying to set the game offline at all times, because the game is dead anyways. And some of the configuration settings do not work. The patcher also appears to have some problems, as stated that some mods work, some don't. It also kept trying to delete my data, so I canned it. I ended up deleting the installer as well, as it appeared to be broken, did not read some files and the ones it did would not install and would force the program to crash. I'm still having trouble getting Shopaholic to work, and both Black Goku mods I downloaded didn't seem to work either. Though the levels are not, which it's supposed to be a characters + levels pack. As stated before, the Skinny Majin mod and now I've got all the characters unlocked. I've been working on a total of 5 mods, but only 1 and a half of them actually work.
So, on a quick update, it would appear that I've been doing everything correctly this whole time.
